WHAT TO WEAR FOR A PHOTOSHOOT
1- Choose your colour palette
Complement each other’s outfit, but don’t try to match. Choose 3-4 colours (2 main colours and a further 1-2 minor colours). Find one outfit you love and build the rest of the family’s outfits from there. Neutrals and soft colours are the easiest to style cohesively, but if your personality is bright and bold then go for it!

2- Choose a feature pattern
Patterns are a great addition. If you have a patterned outfit you have chosen, you can pull colours from the pattern to bring into other family members outfits. I recommend only 1-2 outfits have patterns (they need to be similar colours or subtle patterns) and the rest of the family wears block colour.

3- Add some texture
Adding texture adds interest and depth to your photos. Think linen, waffle, corduroy, lace etc. AVOID clothing which has large graphics or brand name logos. These tend to stand out and become distracting.

Mum: Ladies first!
Pick the mums outfit first and build everybody else’s around it.
Dresses and flowy skirts are very flattering in photos and great for creating movement. Accessories also add detail and interest.
Clothing that doesn’t fit well or is restrictive won’t be comfortable on the day. I.e you don’t want to be continually fixing visible bra straps.
